We have vacationed in the central Florida Gulf Coast area for
years -- attracted by the relaxed atmosphere, great restaurants
and beautiful, clean beaches.
Compared to other beach resort areas, the central Florida Gulf
coast has so much more to offer -- and at more affordable
prices.
In 2004, we traveled the Florida Gulf Coast, from Clearwater
to Marco Island, looking for the ideal second home that we
could use as a Vacation Rental. Family and careers prevent us
from relocating from suburban Philadelphia.
Madeira Beach suited us perfectly... lovely, quiet, coastal
resort town, only 30 minutes from two airports (TPA & PIE).
We knew right away that Ocean Sands was home.
The building was built when Florida beachfront real estate was
cheap. The condo has a huge private balcony right on the
beach. (Newer construction features balconies along the sides
of the buildings offering everyone a 'glimpse of the Gulf'.)
We also liked the floorplan ... the bedrooms and guest bath are
off of a small corridor, rather than opening directly from the
living room. This offers guests a little privacy.
Ocean Sands has a long-standing reputation as being among the
nicest places to stay... a quiet, secure atmosphere that attracts
the nicest people. Guests return year-after-year. The many
full-time residents insist that the building, grounds and pool
area are clean and well-maintained.
We found out the hard way that Property Managers do not
really care about the property, the tenants or the owners. We
now manage the property ourselves.... and love doing it. No
one cares more about the comfort of our guests than we do.
